Sweet, it's finally starting to feel like spring, but that's not the chirping we're talking about. Harvard Business School's Alumni Career Services' Elevator Pitch Tool, which we're proud to have developed, has recently been the flitter on Twitter ("harvard elevator pitch"). Thanks to this buzz, (mixing metaphors) traffic to the "Art of Pitchcraft" tool has taken off. It's social media at its best.

With clean typography, thoughtful design and a smoothly sequenced user experience, the tool is just plain smart. With Harvard as a client, it has to be. Here's how it works: A user's pitch structure is broken into 4 parts - who you are, what you do, why you're unique, and what your goal is - focusing on one message at a time makes it less daunting and structures your thoughts. The experience rates the result based on things like how long it will take to say (can't be more than a couple of floors), how many repeated words you used, and even makes suggestions to help strengthen the pitch. Check it out.

  • Esquire's Best Dressed Real Man

    March 1, 2009

We’re excited and pleased to draw your attention to H&G's latest project, Esquire’s upcoming contest and community web site "Best Dressed Real Man" www.esquirebdrm.com. Esquire has hosted this competition for over five years though past contests have not received this amount of buzz and fanfare.

This year Esquire chose Hunt & Gather to re-think, re-design, and re-launch the contest online. We have created a full site experience including an improved U/I to create, share, and link to profiles, social networking tie-ins such as Facebook, and the voting mechanism for the contest.

  • H&G's Banner Year

    January 11, 2009

It has been a very busy and extremely rewarding year at Hunt & Gather. We have a phenomenal team and are proud to recognize their hard work and passion. We would also like to thank all of our clients whom we appreciate so much.

Hunt & Gather was honored at this year’s MITX awards with the honor of “Best Financial Services Site” for the Charles River Ventures website. Combined with the three awards we received from the International Academy of Visual Arts’ W3 Awards: Conduit Labs, Harvard Business School, and eFashion Solutions.

And with the five WebAwards we received from the Web Marketing Association: Demandware,  MTV: The Shot, Conduit Labs, Harvard Business School, and Charles River Ventures, we have a lot to be proud of this year.

  • Horse Races, Nascar, and Rock’m Sock’m Robots!

    November 15, 2008

Not all sales incentive programs are created equal. Besides, there is nothing unhealthy about a little friendly competition amongst friends, is there?

That’s why the national sales incentive program we built for the pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk works so well. Sales teams from around the United States use their monthly sales figures to “compete" for sales incentives like iPod's, and golf trips. Virtual competitions include national horse tracks, Nascar, and our favorite, Rock’m Sock’m Robots. The program is highly successful and combines great online interactivity with proven results.

  • Recognized by the Web Marketing Association

    December 15, 2008

For the fourth year in a row, Hunt & Gather received recognition for its excellence by the Web Marketing Association. In the Web Award competition, our sites consistently rated above average or excellent across 5 criteria: design, innovation, content, technology and interactivity.

In fact, overall our scores were 15% to 20% above industry average. Web sites for Conduit Labs, Harvard Business School, Charles River Ventures, Demandware, and The Shot for MTV each received the Standard of Excellence award in their category.
